Barcelona Catalonia

Anybody coming to Barcelona interestingly is in for a lovely astonishment. The city is very little seeing other European urban communities, for example, London and Paris yet that is the place Barcelona’s genuine appeal lies.

There is such a great amount to do here and you would never get exhausted effortlessly. When I initially moved to Barcelona I enlisted in one of the best schools for learning Spanish – the Escuela Oficial de Idiomas close to the port zone of Drassanes. I immediately found Barcelona’s appeal as I went for strolls around the gothic quarter after school drinking cortados (little espressos) the numerous interesting little bars and bistros Barcelona brings to the table.

Barcelona has one of the best markets in Spain if not Europe for crisp fish, meat and vegetables. It’s called La Boqueria and is amazingly famous with local people and also visitors. You’ll see it simply off Las Ramblas close to the renowned Liceu theater. It even has its own site in five dialects including Japanese!

In case you’re a partner of design you are in for a genuine treat. Barcelona is home to Antoni Gaudi’s artful culmination – La Sagrada Familia Church. Other noted works by this Catalan engineer are “La Pedrera” “La Casa Batllò” and his renowned “Parc Guell” which is an incredible stop to walk around on any day of the year.

One of my most loved exhibition halls is the Picasso Museum and a trek outside Barcelona to Figueres and you could visit the Salvador DalĂ Museum – one of Catalonia’s finest if not most excessive of painters.

For the football fans among us there is Barcelona Football Club’s Camp Nou stadium with its phenomenal trophy room brimming with flatware.

Getting to Barcelona nowadays has never been simpler. With the minimal effort carriers flying both to Barcelona’s El Prat air terminal and the littler air terminal in Girona, going to the city for a week or a short city end of the week break has never been something more.

A 25 minute ride by taxi from El Prat gets you into the downtown area while 90 minutes on the mentor will do a similar thing if originating from Girona.

Barcelona is likewise home to numerous outside understudies and voyagers who have been dazzled by its appeal and think that its hard to take off. An instructor at the school I went to specified above once disclosed to me that if an outsider stays in Barcelona for a couple of years, he or she would think that its exceptionally hard to backpedal home. How right he was! Barcelona is an extremely spellbinding city and enjoys a flexibility that is not acknowledged anyplace else in Europe.
